ABOUT JESSI SATIN

In university Jessi chose to pursue the fine arts, where she mastered the art of visual storytelling.  She spent nine years living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she fell in love with the world of journalism. Jessi rose quickly from web editor to television senior producer at i24NEWS, and helmed the programs "Trending" and "Israel Business Weekly", while also leading the culture department at the channel and becoming one of the most versatile and dependable producers at the company.

Jessi then moved to Portland, Oregon to join the team at the local ABC affiliate KATU News, bringing top breaking, local and national stories to audiences across northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.  While at KATU she researched, wrote and produced a half-hour documentary marking the 45th anniversary of the Mount St. Helens eruption. She earned an Emmy nomination for that documentary, as well as a second nomination for team coverage of the Rowena wildfire in the Columbia River Gorge during the summer of 2025.

What drives Jessi in her work is finding and telling the stories of all the incredible people and places around us.
